From an abandon ed World War II bunker in Italy to the Tribeca, Edinburgh and Sydney Film Festivals, Scott Calonico’s short films have been shown around the globe. His movies have also been featured content on sites like Comedy Central, Vanity Fair, The Atlantic Monthly, Ch4, Boing Boing, Dangerous Minds, OUT magazine, and VICE. He appeared on exactly one episode of the courtroom reality show Judge Joe Brown Show as a Defendant.

In 2014, his short “The Silly Bastard Next to the Bed” received the audience award for best short at the Full Frame Film Festival in Durham, North Carolina and was soon entertaining audiences across the world. That same year,, Scott served as producer and animator on Jeff Radice’s award winning film, “No No: A Dockumentary.” The Scottish Documentary Institute awarded Scott a documentary commission in 2015 to produce the film, “The Banana Republic.”

He holds a BSc in Radio/TV/Film from the University of Texas and an MA from City University, London in International Journalism. In his spare time, he hosts the podcasts “This is the President” and co-hosts “Comedy History 101” and reviews European nachos.

Along with Jeff Radice, he is currently developing his first feature length documentary, Betrayal , the story of an East German triple agent turned 1980s Wall Street investment banker.
