May 4: Passes on sale at early bird price ($75)
June 1: Regular pass price ($100)
June 8: Tickets on sale
Tickets Available June 8
Experience films and conversations that spark your curiosity and challenge your worldview. Starting on June 8, you will have the opportunity to buy tickets (or “unlocks”) to individual films, programs, events and special presentations at this year’s AFI DOCS. New films and events will be scheduled each day of the festival, with captivating conversations and Q&As with the filmmakers following nearly every film.
Films and events are available for a limited time and with limited capacity due to restrictions from film distributors and filmmakers – and they can sell out. We strongly recommend purchasing “unlocks” to films and events you want to attend before the festival begins on June 22.
Celebrate the art of documentary filmmaking and groundbreaking filmmakers with this year’s free programs: Cinema’s Legacy, DOCS Talks and Guggenheim Symposium. Starting on June 8, be sure to reserve your spot for the films and events you want to enjoy! To get your “ticket,” go to the individual film or event page and click “pre-order now.” Note: Once a film becomes available to view, it will say “unlock” instead of pre-order.

Once the film becomes available you will have 48 hours to begin watching the film and then 48 hours to conclude viewing. After you unlock a program, note the amount of time you have to begin and finish watching a particular film.

All films are available to viewers in the United States. Film views are limited, and films can “sell out,” which will be indicated by “Sold Out.“
Please note: No refunds or exchanges. Unlocks are non-transferable. Events are not rated and viewer discretion is advised.
