ROADRUNNER: A FILM ABOUT ANTHONY BOURDAIN Special Presentations

ROADRUNNER:

Following the screening, watch a special conversation with director/producer Morgan Neville and producer Caitrin Rogers, moderated by The Washington Post’s Host and Editor of Food Video, Mary Beth Albright.

In June of 2018, the news of Anthony Bourdain’s death rocked the world. Bourdain, first known as a chef and then for his clever writing on food and the restaurant industry, rose quickly to a worldwide public spotlight with his TV show “Parts Unknown.” The show broadened conversations about food, travel, social justice and humanity. ROADRUNNER, directed by Academy Award®-winner Morgan Neville, explores this time of Bourdain’s career with the close friends and storytellers he left behind. Bourdain’s passion radiates through footage from his production days. Hearing his voice again is both haunting and soothing. Bourdain’s history with addiction and darkness may be part of his legacy, but this irreverent and honest portrait reveals his complexity and the profound impact he left on the world. –Sarah Harris
